Accommodation
Stóra-Ásgeirsá Farm Stay offers you to rent the whole accommodation for up to 7 people. This is an authentic farmhouse, where you can experience the Icelandic farm life. The accommodation has three rooms and one bathroom facility. Each room features a TV, bed linen, and towels. The accommodation offers free parking and free Wifi.
Short-riding Tours
Stóra-Ásgeirsá Farm Stay raises and trains Icelandic horses and offers short-riding tours for guests and other travellers. The riding tours are suitable for beginners and no riding experience is needed. Please contact us for further information.

Participate in farm life
Stóra-Ásgeirsá Farm Stay is a real farm, so you are welcome to participate in farm chores and interact with our lovely farm animals. Please ask us any questions that come to mind about our farm and farm life. We have goats, horses, dogs, cats, and sheep on our farm, all of them are very friendly and appreciate a bit of petting.
Geothermal hot tub
All our guests at Stóra-Ásgeirsá Farm Stay have access to our magnificent geothermal hot tub. Located a small walking distance behind the farm house with a waterfall as a backdrop. It’s the perfect place to relax with a drink, after a day of activities.
Mjólkurhúsið Pub
Stóra-Ásgeirsá Farm Stay has a bar where drinks are served and traditional Icelandic meat soup for an additional fee. The farmer is a musician and is happy to play for guests during the evenings.
Location
Stóra-Ásgeirsá Farm Stay is located in North Iceland, around 10 km from the small village of Víðigerði and 27 km from the village of Hvammstangi. We are mid-way between Reykjavík and Akureyri, located around 4 km from the Ring Road.
Hvammstangi village is best-known for its inquisitive seal colonies who spend their days relaxing on the Vatnsnes peninsula. This area, is one of the best places to go seal watching in the country. The village has all necessary services, such as restaurants, museums, cafés, grocery store and a local swimming pool.
You will also find interesting natural attractions in the nearby area, the best known being Hvítserkur and Kolugjúfur.
