Lyngholt

Guesthouse Lyngholt is located in the upper half of the village at Langanesvegur 12, close to the swimming pool. The house was built in 1959 and we the owners have been renovating the house more and less since 1999.
As well as running Lyngholt we are also farmers, the sheep farm is about 25 km from the village and we have about 450 sheep. This sometimes explains why we are not that much at the house but we always have a housekeeper on standby if needed.

We want our guests to feel like home, the rooms in Lyngholt are all of different sizes and interior designs.  There’s a TV in every room and free wifi. Guests have access to kitchen and living room facilities and an outdoor BBQ. In all the bathrooms you’ll find towels, cotton pads and a hair dryer.

LYNGHOLT
In the main house there are 6 bedrooms sharing 3 bathrooms with a shower. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you’ll need for cooking, the lounge is in the same open space with access to the terrace. Our guests have access to a laundry room with washers and dryers, free of charge.

CAVE
Is an apartment next to Lyngholt. This apartment has a terrace, kitchen with a dish washer, private spacious bathroom, chairs, tv and wifi.

THORSHAMAR (by the sea)
In 2016 we started renting a small house at Fjardarvegur 12 in Thorshofn. It can accommodate 4 people in two bedrooms. The view from the living room is over the marina area.

THE ROCK (klettur)
This guesthouse has 6 bedrooms, total accommodation for 10 people. Good kitchen facility and a living room. Flat screen TV in every room and free WI-FI. The 6 rooms share two bathrooms with showers.
These rooms are not open for booking in this site, they are mostly used for long term rent.

Thorshofn is an excellent location for birdwatchers, hikers and nature lovers. Only a few minute drive to Langanes and Rauðanes.
