Fröken Selfoss is a casually fine restaurant offering a creative blend of traditional and modern Icelandic cuisine, paired with a vibrant selection of craft cocktails. Our menu celebrates the rich culinary heritage of the South Coast, using ingredients sourced from Icelandic nature, local farmers, and small-scale producers whenever possible.

You can shape your own experience by choosing freely from our à la carte menu or indulge in one of our curated tasting journeys — 3, 5, or 7-course menus, including one specially crafted as a crash course in the culinary history of Iceland. A professionally designed wine pairing is also available to complement your meal.

Located on the lower downtown square in the heart of Selfoss’s new center, our entrance is directly from the square. Join us for Happy Hour daily from 16:00–18:00.

In addition to our restaurant, we offer a nationally recognized catering service, recently awarded “Best Catering Company 2025 – Iceland” by LUXlife Magazine. We cater to all types of events — from weddings, anniversaries, and corporate parties to graduations, confirmations, nature experiences, and private dinners at partner venues.

We offer flexible event menus and can provide professional waitstaff and cocktail bartenders on request.
