Fröken Selfoss

The name Fröken Selfoss comes about because of the nature of the cooking, the style, and the direction of the restaurant. The restaurant is designed in “Tapas” style. Tapas is very casual cooking and is mainly defined by the atmosphere, the size of the dishes, and how the food is served. The restaurant was designed by Leifur Welding with this in mind.

During the winter season we will host various events such as “Afternoon tea” and “Bottomless brunch”. We also accept groups of all sizes and can cater parties for most budgets.

About us

Fröken Selfoss is located on the lower bridge square in the new center of Selfoss. There we produce excellent food with an emphasis on small dishes and cocktails. We are a moderately “fancy” restaurant that aims to offer friendly service and appetizing and tasty food.

Along with the restaurant, we also offer a comprehensive banquet service. We take on all types of events such as anniversaries, weddings, incentive trips, company parties, birthdays, graduations, confirmations, dinner parties, dry spells and tourism packages in nature or events in a hall at our partners to name a few.

We have prepared menus to suit most events and can provide waiters and cocktail shakers on request.

At ÁB Veitingar ehf, we are constantly developing new dishes and ideas that could see the light of day for the first time at your party. The inspiration comes from seasonal ingredients, where the freshest available is always used. This is so seasoned with skill, experience and modern flavor combinations where freshness, wholesomeness and taste are in the foreground.
