Riding tours We offer riding tours on the famous black sand beach and in the local area. We offer tours from 1 to 4 hours for people with all levels of experience.
All tours starts at the farm and goes down to the black beach towards Dyrhólaey. In the 4 hours tour we ride to the roots of Mýrdalsjökull glacier, where we offer some coffee and homemade baking. We recommend beginners to take the 1 hour tour, because it can be a little bit overwhelming to be on the horse for a long time if you are unaccustomed to riding.
- As for experienced riders, we recommend all tours. Prices:
- 1 hour – 8.000 ISK pr. person
- 2 hours – 14.000 ISK pr. person
- 4 hours – 20.000 ISK pr. person (including coffee and waffles)
For more information or requests call +354 863 3238
The 4 hours tour has to be booked in advance for minimum of 4 persons.
All tours include an experienced guide to provide the help needed and maintain safety for all riders during the tour.
NB. We do not train the horses to walk in a line which offers the riders the possibility to handle and control the horses themselves. The guide leads horses with inexperienced children under the age of 10.

The Northern lights
The location of the cottages often offers an excellent view of the Northern lights (Aurora Borealis) during the winter. The cottages are rented out the whole year round.
In the wintertime the surrounding is no less beautiful than during the summer and often offers visitors a chance to find themselves in a regular winter wonderland. During the winter season the prices are significantly lower than during the high season in the summertime.
The winter season is from 16. September to 15. of May. If you would like to rent the cottages during the wintertime please contact us.
